The Spring Creek Trail #616 is actually a remnant of the old Spring Creek Truck Trail that connected Uravan with this section of the plateau. However the truck trail was re-routed to the south between Burro Creek and Campbell Creek, either due to the degraded condition or disuse of the northern section of the trail between the Spring Creek and Atkinson Creek drainages.
