The Lost Lake trail begins at Red Sandstone Road #700, passes Lost Lake, and ends at Lost Lake Road #786: From the west trailhead, the trail follows a ridge dividing the Piney and Red Sandstone drainages while traveling though lodgepole pine and aspen groves.
