Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery

Construction of the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery took place from 1938 to 1940 on 170 acres of Icicle Valley land, two miles south of the town of Leavenworth. The hatchery was the first fish mitigation facility built for Grand Coulee Dam. In 1998, the hatchery was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
