Cooke Area

The 2,419 acre Cooke area is located in Oscoda Township in Iosco County, Michigan The terrain is mostly lowlands. Much of the area is densely forested with a mix of conifers including cedar, fir and red and white pine. Pockets of aspen and open areas also occur in the area. Wildlife species that commonly inhabit this area include white-tailed deer, bald eagles, swans, raccoon, porcupine, squirrel, pileated woodpecker and various songbirds.
