The Black Pine Division, located east of the Albion Mountain Division and west of Idaho Interstate 84 near the Idaho/Utah border, encompasses 90,000 acres of Forest Service administered land. Being more isolated, the area does not receive as many visitors and the pockets of open country offers quite and solitude. Northern slopes are occupied by stands of Douglas fir and sub alpine fir.
