North Umpqua Wild and Scenic River

The 33.8-mile Wild and Scenic section of the North Umpqua River offers exciting white water boating. Permits are not required for non-commercial private boats. Commercial outfitters are available for hire. A 5-mile section upstream of Bogus Creek Campground is closed to boating between July 15 and October 31 to minimize conflicts with anglers. Also, between July 1 and the end of October, boating is restricted before 10 a.m. and after 6 p.m. to lessen conflicts with anglers. Detailed information…
