The Coxcomb Trail #132 begins at an intersection with the Middle Fork Trail #227 and ends at an intersection with the Wetterhorn Basin Trail #226. The trail intersects the Middle Fork Trail at approximately 11,505 feet and crosses the Middle Fork Cimarron River. It head west as it switchbacks and continues to climb to an elevation of 12,400 feet in approximately 1.4 miles.
