Visitors to the Buckhorn Wash panel enjoy viewing one of the most spectacular examples of Barrier Canyon style rock art. The ghostly red figures here stand watch over the San Rafael River. The site includes both painted (Pictographs) and pecked (Petroglyph) prehistoric images. In addition, the site also includes a boulder on which members of a CCC crew working on installing a CCC bridge across the canyon carved their names.
