Hole in the Rock Trail

The Hole-in-the-Rock Trail extends from the town of Escalante across the gorge of the Colorado River and through very rugged canyon country to the town of Bluff, which was settled as a result of a trek made by Mormon Pioneers. In addition to the BLM Monticello Field Office, the trail crosses the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.
