The Scab Creek Recreation Area is located in the foothills of the Wind River Mountains at roughly 8,200 feet. The recreation area provides parking for Scab Lake and Scab Creek trailheads, as well as two camping areas, one for small vehicles, and one for pack stock, trailers, and large RVs. The backpacker parking, pack stock staging area, small vehicle campground and large vehicle campground are all sites within the recreation area.
